A table saw kickback is a simply awful experience, but Micro Jig has introduced an inexpensive way to tilt the odds in your favor.

The most common type of ripping kickback occurs when the lumber between the fence and blade drifts way from the fence and gets tangled in the teeth at the rear of the blade. The teeth at the back of the blade are moving upward and toward you at more than 100mph, and there's a lot of energy available to lift the board and throw it toward the front of the saw.

The solution is preventing the board from making contact with the rear of the blade. The Micro Jig Splitter is installed in a zero-clearance throat plate right behind the blade and aligned flush with the edge of the blade nearest the fence.During the cut, the splitter rides in the blades kerf and prevents the lumber from pulling away from the fence.

Each package contains a splitter, great instructions, and a jig for drilling the mounting holes.Splitters are available in two thicknesses: MJSP-0125 is for use with 1/8"-wide full kerf blades, and the MJSP-0100TK works with thin-kerf blades between 0.090" to 0.118" in width.Requires a zero-clearance throat plate for the saw.
