Micro Jig’s top selling splitters have been improved! The new SteelPro splitters feature a stainless steel core that not only makes them tougher, but it allows the splitters to be compact enough that two can be installed behind the blade instead of only one.

Two splitters have twice the ability to prevent kickback: the front splitter does the traditional job of keeping the lumber against the fence, but the additional rear splitter rides against the left side of the kerf to help keep the offcut piece away from the rear of the blade. This system reduces or eliminates the most common source of binding when ripping solid lumber.

The new design also includes a “kerf keeper” that can be installed in place of the rear splitter. If the kerf begins to close on the rear of the blade, the board pinches the kerf keeper and pulls it out of the insert…the keeper then rides along with the board to keep the kerf open for the remainder of the cut.

Includes (4) splitters and (4) kerf keepers in various offsets for thin-kerf saw blades (kerf width 0.090” - 0.118”). Detailed instructions and an installation template are included. Installs in any zero-clearance throat plate.
