Micro Jig GRR-Ripper System Advanced
One of Wood Magazine's favorite safety products! Read the article.
The main body has T-slots everywhere, making the handle, legs, and other components adjustable to the ideal configuration for different types of cuts on lumber of various sizes. It's a huge improvement over push blocks or push sticks that are one-size-fits-all-operations.There are plenty of places to attach both Micro Jig and user-made accessories, so the possibilities are endless.
Compared to the Basic GRR-Ripper, the GR-200 Advanced System features an enlarged footprint and more possible configurations by adding an adjustable spacer on one side and a large stabilizing pad on the other. The underside of the adjustable spacer increases the total amount of sticky rubber by about 50% over the basic model.
The GRR-Ripper's unique features include: Super-tacky rubber gives you greater control with less effort and pressure.
Rather than having a simple flat underside, the GRR-Ripper has three rubber-coated legs with adjustable space in between. When working on a table saw with narrow lumber, the blade passes through the space between the legs, giving you full control of both the part you're saving and the offcut to help prevent kickback.
The narrow legs allow cutting strips as narrow as 1/4" between the fence and blade.
The body of the GRR-Ripper serves as a physical barrier between the cutter and both of your hands at all times.
The adjustable balance support on one side eliminates a conventional push block's tendency to tip off the side of narrow lumber.
A broad range of Micro Jig accessories allows virtually unlimited configurations to maximize safety for every routing, sawing, or jointing operation.
Get two GRR-Rippers and use them hand-over-hand for long boards, and don't forget to add a Micro Jig Splitter to your saw for additional kickback protection!
